Who says you have to travel far to see amazing sights? We get to see them every day and because of that, we know we have to share them with you. 

Beautiful Places to Visit in Worcester County, MD

Ocean City Beach & Boardwalk

Of course, we have to talk about our famous Ocean City, MD beach, and boardwalk! The beach town is lively and full of fun for all ages and walks of life. With amusements, the most delicious food, and many places for incredible views, Ocean City is the perfect place for a refreshing vacation to relax and unwind or enjoy new experiences.

Ocean City Inlet & Sunset Park

The Inlet is a go-to spot for the best views in town. You’ll often see people admiring the view of the waves crashing on the rocks, with dolphins swimming nearby. Wildlife lovers come equipped with binoculars to catch the birds and gaze out towards Assateague Island. It is also a popular spot for fishing and crabbing. If you’re lucky, you might get the chance to see a sand shark while fishing, or a herd of Assateague ponies across the way. Sunset Park is right next to the Inlet with the best panoramic sunset views of the ocean, Assateague Island, and the bay.

Assateague Island

Speaking of the ponies, Assateague Island is nothing short of magical. The narrow island is known for its spectacular marshlands, dunes, pine forests, and wildlife. Make sure to keep your eyes open to catch a glimpse of bald eagles or wild horses. The island is popular for its biking and walking trails as well as the large beach areas. Many locals and tourists take advantage of the drive-on (OSV) beach to spend the whole day on the Island. Kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and surfing are other common activities that are perfect for Assateague.

Pocomoke River State Park

The small towns of  Pocomoke City and Snow Hill reside around the Pocomoke River State Park and Pocomoke State Forest. These parks are a nature lover’s dream with tall pine trees, cypress swamps, and an abundance of unique Eastern Shore wildlife. The park provides amenities like campgrounds, fishing, boating, hiking, picnic areas, playgrounds, and more.

Northside Park

Enjoy Ocean City’s largest park facility! The scenic park is on 125th Street and the bay, giving you the opportunity to see the most gorgeous sunsets and walk, play, run, and picnic by the water. Utilize the benches with a view for a relaxing time, while the kids play on the sports fields or playgrounds.

Byrd Park

If you’re looking for a scenic escape, Byrd Park has beautiful shaded walking trails both a little over a mile for the perfect walk along the Pocomoke River. Plus, the park is pet-friendly so your furry friend can enjoy the trails as well!

Rackliffe House Trail

The Rackliffe House has great historical significance for the Eastern Shore. It is located near Assateague, providing a beautiful trail from the Assateague Island Visitor Center to explore the grounds and surrounding area.

Links at Lighthouse Sound

All of the golf courses on Maryland’s Coast are stunningly created to work with the natural beauty of the area. Links at Lighthouse Sound is no different. The views of the Ocean City skyline and bay area are a beautiful backdrop for your golfing trip or dinner at the Lighthouse Sound Restaurant. Unsurprisingly, the golf course and restaurant also double as an event venue, hosting weddings and other special events.  

Sunset Marina

The name might speak for itself with this one… Views of the bay and sunsets—it can’t be beat! The full-service marina resort offers a variety of amenities catered towards boat owners. The Sunset Grille restaurant is a popular fine dining spot with great bayside seating and fresh seafood dishes.
