I've lived in Maryland a really long time, and I've vacationed in Ocean City hundreds of times during the past half century. During those vacations, I've driven past Bad Monkey hundreds of times without once having the urge to eat there. After all, how good could the food be in a restaurant that has the word, bad, in its name, not to mention the word, monkey.
Well it turned out that I was going to be recharging my Tesla at the supercharger practically next door to the Bad Monkey, West OC, so I, and my party had brunch at the Bad Monkey while my car was getting recharged.
It was amazing. The place is very nicely decorated. It's on the second floor, but there's an elevator so it's wheelchair accessible. There are plenty of delectable sounding menu items, and the ones we selected were even more delicious than we expected.
I had an excellent omelette filled with grilled veggies. The home fries and buttered toast that came with it were also delicious.
Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. The portions were generous.

Our first visit and we’ll definitely be back. The food was delicious!! The complementary monkey bread was a nice bonus. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced.
Bonus: for being a beach restaurant, the restaurant was and felt very clean and presentable.
Be sure to visit the shop and check out the great merchandise too!

Really enjoyed our stop at Bad Monkey West OC. Service was great from start to finish, and our server was especially helpful with the beer recommendations. Always appreciate when someone actually knows the menu and can point you toward something you’ll enjoy.
The food was excellent. The crab cake was superb, the fried pickles were addictive, and the blackened mahi tacos were easily one of the highlights. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for.
Great food, great beer, and great service. Definitely a spot we’d come back to whenever we’re in Ocean City.
