Featuring the Finest in crabs, lobsters, fresh fish and other delicious specialties, Crab Alley opened in 1984 on 9th Street in Ocean City, Maryland. Offering the freshest seafood anywhere in town, it was a favorite spot of locals and tourists alike. It resided there until 1994 when a fire on the boardwalk burned down the original building. In May of 1995, Crab Alley reopened in West Ocean City overlooking the commercial fishing harbor. Our new location offers the same superior quality seafood and service with plenty of free parking, a fresh seafood market, more seating and a great view from our outdoor deck.

I decided to take my hubby out on a date tonight. I had been to Crab Alley once before but that was some years ago. They have easy parking which us always a plus. The hostess greeted us with a smile. We had "waterfront" seating which technically "yes" you see water but it's really looking over a marina. Our server, Jaime, was very friendly and even made jokes with us. He seemed very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. My hubby got the steamed shrimp and i got the crab imperial w/ crab cake and cream of crab. The cream of crab in had just tiny pieces of crab and no real lump meat. The flavor was okay but could have stood more Old Bay. The crab imperial was a little on the dry side and not as creamy as I'm used to. The crab cake was the same. My husband liked his shrimp but felt like it was over cooked a little. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and I would go back and maybe try something different.

I got the snow crab clusters with green beans and potato salad. They were fantastic the price was spot on they were fresh and FILLED with meat. My fiance got the flounder platter and he enjoyed that as well. It's also nice to sit out and watch the boats. Id go back a million times just to try something else on their menu

I wished they provided some options for lesser crabs, lesser than half dozen for 2 people. We arrived around 7ish pm, they only have small/medium sized crabs left. Our medium sized crabs were overcooked and it wasn’t moist inside. Personally old bay isn’t quite our style as a lot of the seasoning made the crabs too salty and I was pretty much done after having one of it 😅. It was $40+ for half dozen of the M sized crabs. The buffet costs $69 and I didn’t think we would have in any way made it worth it.
We also had the mixed soup which I thought was pretty good, and the clams casino which was nice as well.
We were seated outdoors and nice to have a view of the waters.
